Chris Jarvis and Pui Fan Lee are the most likeable double act on CBeebies.
Their programme “Show Me, Show Me” is the modern day Play School with Chris and Pui as the contemporary Brian Cant and Floella Benjamin.
However, when you go to live shows that don’t have CBeebies in the title you’re not sure what kind of show the TV stars will do, whilst sidestepping copyright laws and intellectual properties galore.
Thankfully, this didn’t seem to matter as what we got was a fun filled trip through all your favourite nursery rhymes using all the “Show Me, Show Me” characters. In a packed hour, Chris and Piu delivered gags and songs for all ages with lots of audience participation to keep the kids entertained.
Miss Mouse, Momo, Tom, Stuffy and Teddington all join in the fun as Chris and Pui try to find Old MacDonald’s animals in the first half and then have a party in the second half.
The pair had lots of costume changes from Humpty Dumpty to Twinkle Twinkle to Incy Wincey Spider, it didn’t let up for a second. Jarvis, who has written many of the CBeebies pantos, filled the show with funny gags and slapstick to keep everyone smiling.
In general, this is a show me and V really enjoyed and by the time our worms were wriggling goodbye, we had already decided we would definitely book tickets the next time the roadshow is in town.
V particularly enjoyed Pui dressed as Grandma Dumpty singing “I like to move it, move it!” and doing all the actions of “Wind the Bobbin Up”.

Run time: About an hour with a 20 minute interval.
Other stuff: There was no obvious merchandise to buy – which is not a bad thing.
